Patriot Cabin Community is an Ohio 501c3 nonprofit veteran services organization that provides campground communities for military, veterans and civil servants. We also provide live-work programs for disabled and homeless military, veterans and civil servants where we address their careers, education, physical and mental health, hobbies and much more. DONATIONS: We desperately need volunteers and donations for new or used building materials to help us complete these cabins for disabled and homeless veterans. EMPLOYMENT: Patriot Cabin Community will focus on every live-work patron’s career to create a solid foundation to prevent unemployment in their lives, while addressing their aptitude and interests, their vocational education and certification, and personality profile to determine what is best long term for each patron not just what is available at the moment. REHABILITATION: Patriot Cabin Company will provide holistic rehabilitation services such as a gym with hot and cold spas, sauna, and steam room, deep tissue massage and other services that promote stress reduction, healthy diet, and living. COMMUNITY: Patriot Cabin Company is developing private membership communities for military, veterans and civil servants. It is just like being back on base just without the uniforms and rank. We will encourage Veteran organizations to cooperate with us in providing services for our Veterans too. There are no curfews, no gates or guards and we intend to keep it that way. We are planning on having services similar to military bases like an auto shop, ceramic and photo hobby shops, sports, recreation, and other services. Patriot Cabin Community is an Ohio 501c3 nonprofit veteran services organization that is in its early startup. It services disabled and homeless across all of Ohio and as it grows will address these issues in all 50 states. Patriot Cabin Community will provide members with housing, a holistic approach to their mental and physical health, diet, and beverages consumption from a natural and holistic perspective. Patriot Cabin Community has developed THREE programs to address the top FIVE issues that impact our disabled and homeless veterans: HALO Health Awareness & Life Objectives will provide members with a holistic approach to their health and food. As part of HALO members may participate in testing to determine if they are lacking in vitamins and minerals that may be impacting their health, their sleep, and many other aspects of their lives. Programs that members can participate in range from chiropractors to hot and cold spas, deep tissue massage, vitamin, and minerals supplements, and much more. Meditation, sound, and scent therapy, as well as natural foods, nuts, fruits and fasting. HEROS: HEROS stands for Help Enable and Restore Opportunities and Success . HEROS will provide OJT in many disciplines to enable veterans to feel self-worth and jobs which provide a quality of life they cannot obtain on disability alone - make them into HEROS once more. This is a bundle of services which includes a gym with hot and cold spas, steam room, and sauna, full exercise and workout equipment, massage therapy and many other products and services as part of the package. Many of these expenses can be recouped through government programs, sub-contracted services, etc. at little or no cost to the veterans themselves. Participation in these programs has a minimum requirement; 50%+ service-connected disability, honorably or general under honorable discharge*, no felony conviction and no current charges pending*. LEAF: (stands for Law Enforcement, Ambulance & Fire Fighters) because many of our veterans also serve our nation through civil service. When we call 911 it is not the Marines that show up. Patriot Cabin Community provides special services to our civil servants but call it LEAF so they can easy identify the services that are specifically for them. LEAF is just one of the programs that we offer to our patrons. Patriot Cabin Community’s primary focus is to resolve issues that plague our nations disabled and homeless in our live-work programs: • Suicide & PTSD • Mental & Physical Health • Unemployment / Unemployability • Disabilities & Homelessness • Careers & Education COMMUNITY GARDENS: Patrons will participate in community gardening that will include no-till, hydroponics, and electro-culture to generate food for our patrons. This will include sowing, reaping and canning. ANIMAL CARE: Caring for animals can bring a peace to those who suffer from various mental and physical health issues. This is also include processing for eggs, milk, and meats. APPLICATIONS: We are currently accepting applications for volunteer camp host for 2024. Download you application HERE . Founder Stephen Ricket, served as a Marine from 1984-1993. Stephen coined the phrase DISCARDED DISABLED because once someone becomes disabled many of those that were brothers in arms and the agencies that created that hero mentality turn their backs upon them. You are treated like an outcast, as a malingerer, like you are worthless and I am trying to change that. Most Veteran treat other veterans with more respect, compassion, mercy, honor, integrity, and disciplan than the VA does. Let’s build communities that are based upon finding resolutions instead of making us hostages to a machine that could care less wheter we live or not.
